TPLRGs Fashion News: SOS Luella

We might have been turning our beautifully groomed lashes in the opposite direction where the credit crunch is concerned, sacrificing the venti skinny latte in favour of the tall option and foregoing the luxury of a big bold at EAT but try as we might, we can no longer ignore the crisis when it strikes so close to home.
Luella has just announced that it has now fully ceased trading after a series of major blows. VSQ who was funding the designer for the previous five years pulled out abruptly while simultaneously the Italian fabric producer for the ready-to-wear collection closed down.  Bartley said that the situation was "very disappointing and upsetting" but said that she hoped she could restart the business in the future.
Luella Bartley also said "I love the Luella character and hope that after we have survived this challenging time, the Luella girl can have an exciting future ahead of her, whichever incarnation she takes on next."
We LOVE Luella and hope that someone will financially support this fantastic, fresh and feminine British brand.
