TPLRG's Fashion News Agent agenda

Luxe lingerie company, Agent Provocateur, has just announced that it intends to expand the brand by venturing into jewellery with a bijoux collection.
The collection will be available in January and will consist of fine jewellery inspired by the 'dark and twisted fantasy of fairy tales.'We can't wait to see what they are going to produce and if it is anything like their lingerie it's going to be hot!

TPLRG's Freaky Love

'I want your loving and i want it right now' Lady Gaga- Bad Romance
Im not sure futuristic coffins and lying next to the skeleton of a dead lover is the way to get it, but each to there own!

Either way, Lady Gaga's new vidoeo's got our LOVING especially since the styling includes a key SS10 look from our very own Alexander McQueen.

TPLRG's Fashion Remedy

The true life of a fashion assistant is far from the depictions of MTV, unlike Lauren and Whitney our blistered feet AREN'T clad with sky high stilettos. Heavy lifting and trudging miles of london streets calls for practical shoes, but as Scholl demonstrates, practical shoes don't often have a lot in common with fashion!! Until now....

The Ugg went from bo ho chic to trailer trash cheap, leaving our feet crying out for just one more sheep skin snuggle. Now, the UGG is back, re invented, rocked up and in the form of the MOU boot. We love the shabby indie look of these.
On a slightly more luxurious note, get saving as the king of the court shoe has also heard our prayers and brought us heaven... in the form of a studded flat pump. Aptly named 'Big Kiss' we would like to give Mr Louboutin a huge snog for creating a shoe that isn't vertical but still beautiful.

Thanks to these two beauties and along with the new SS10 catwalk clog craze , we will NOT be running in heels!

Rich Girl Lust: Boyy Bags

Accessories always get our hearts racing, but non more so than out latest fashion crush...BOYY.
Boyy is a  brand that launched it's first collection in S/S06 but has not seen much UK press. They have been creating some of the most perfect and desirable bags we have seen for a long time. Apart from the expensive look, due in part to the luxe material used (calf skin and python), the craftsmanship is out of this world.
The design duo, Jesse Dorsey and Wannasiri Kongman have really pushed the boat out with their Autumn/Winter 09 line. Jesse told us that both designers "put their all into the design of each bag" and you can really see it. But don't just take our word for it, go and have a look yourself: http://www.boyybag.com/
If, however you are as impatient as we both are you will no doubt want to have a sneak peek at the S/S10 line and here are some of our Rich Girl edits, enjoy...

TPLRGs Fashion News: SOS Luella

We might have been turning our beautifully groomed lashes in the opposite direction where the credit crunch is concerned, sacrificing the venti skinny latte in favour of the tall option and foregoing the luxury of a big bold at EAT but try as we might, we can no longer ignore the crisis when it strikes so close to home.
Luella has just announced that it has now fully ceased trading after a series of major blows. VSQ who was funding the designer for the previous five years pulled out abruptly while simultaneously the Italian fabric producer for the ready-to-wear collection closed down.  Bartley said that the situation was "very disappointing and upsetting" but said that she hoped she could restart the business in the future.
Luella Bartley also said "I love the Luella character and hope that after we have survived this challenging time, the Luella girl can have an exciting future ahead of her, whichever incarnation she takes on next."
We LOVE Luella and hope that someone will financially support this fantastic, fresh and feminine British brand.

TPLRGs: Fashion News

Georgia May Jagger has been announced as the new face of Versace S/S 10 line . The campaign, shot by Mario Testino at an apartment in The Dorchester Hotel in London earlier this month, will start to appear from February 2010. When asked why she had chosen Georgia, Donatella said 'She's smart, a strong personality, beautiful, full of energy...and with that natural high star quality, I adore her! She's perfect for this collection- a real Versace girl.'
Georgia is apparently "really excited" to be the new face of the Italian super brand but her agent Tori Edwards told vogue.com "Georgia absolutely loves working with Donatella but won't be shooting anything else for the rest of  the year."

We can't wait to see the campaign and only hope it is as good as the new collection.
