31 Rue Cambon

As if we needed another excuse to drag our boyfriends into Chanel (still trying to convince mine a 2.55 is like buying a house-it's a total investment!) almost every day of the week, now we find out that King Karl (yes we have two kings- Karl and Christian) has decided that magazines rule and is producing his very own in-house Chanel version with the irrefutable creative talent of Purple Magazine's Oliver Zahm.

The magazine aptly named "31 Rue Cambon" after the address of the first and oldest Chanel boutique will be available in every store worldwide. Oliver said, "this is the first issue and first Chanel magazine which I have art directed and designed for Karl Lagerfeld."

We are too excited and have a feeling that issue 01 will be incredibly hard to get hold of so expect queues and catfights, or should that be Karlfights, which ever, we are happy to see Chanel advocate the significance of the glossy.

Copy Cat...walk

Denim on denim may seem like a scary idea but we are loving this SS10 Chloe look. Try re-creating it for laid back day wear. Shirt £29 AE Western, jeans £230 J Brand, sandals £64 Tory Birch, satchel £424 Ally Capellino.
For a smarter, office friendly catwalk look go along the Celine route, mixing hard leather with a feminine shirt or blouse and topping it of with the SS must have... a clog.

Get the look with this loose fitting white shirt £136 Surface to Air, black leather mini skirt £297 Designers remix, black clogs £78 Ugg Australia

TPLRG's: Twilight Tribute

With the release of 'New Moon' this week we thought it was only appropriate to pay some sort of tribute to the film that has turned anyone with a pulse in to an excitable teenager. However, rather than banging on about the R-Patz/ Taylor Lautner divide we'd rather do it our way and leave our homage to I.D and Erin Wasson in this Vampish shoot for the Sept 2008 issue.

Supermodel Returns: Schiffer in Chanel.. AGAIN

20 years after she first graced the Chanel advertising boards and following her A/W 08/09 ads, Claudia Schiffer is back and fronting the new SS ready to wear campaign for the uber brand.
After taking time off to look after her children, Schiffer is certainly returning to the fashion scene with a bang, with her nude cover for I.D (see below) and now this, she's showing us all what we've been missing out on.
Whilst Lilly Allen is young and (arguably) hip, we think the classic elegance of Chanel is far better suited to the likes of the old school beauties.

Boutins for 80's icon Barbie

Dear Santa,
This year I have been awfully good (for about the last 10 minutes)and so would like to add one more thing to my Christmas list, I know it is late but as you are Santa I figured that you can make anything possible.
I would really really like the Christian Louboutin Barbie....

Yes, you heard it,our bleach blond childhood friend has teamed up with THE shoe god and together they have created a glamorous line of limited edition ultra-fashion forward dolls. There will be a series of three different Barbie's available in the range. The first, Cat-burglar Barbie, dons a sleek hooded cat suit and comes with no less than FOUR pairs of red soled beauties as well as a collectible calendar which follows the duo's fashion-filled travels.
Launching in December (just in time for Christmas) at £100 each they will be sold through www.net-a-porter.com/barbie register your details now!

The Power Blazer vs. The Slouch

Since Margiella and later, Balmain altered the way we look at shoulder pads the classic blazer seems to have been reinvented, defined by sharp tailoring and jutting shoulders. At first we thought this was a super cool way to modernize a simple look, but unfortunately the time has come where i feel we are in danger of 'Ugging'** out the shoulder pads!! They are EVERYWHERE on the high street and i feel its time we took a break!! Lets move the blazer revolution in another direction!! .....Introducing the slouch blazer, first seen in the form of the 'boyfriend' blazer, it has become bigger baggier and even more fabulous!! Our SS10 faves are these from Chloe and SYKES.

Ugging= death by overwear!!

Stud muffin

Both being totally obsessed with Mr  Louboutin's 'Big Kiss', we almost had simultaneous heart attacks when theses bad boys arrived in the post room today...

Fresh off the catwalk, Louise Goldin has made our hearts melt... It might be a long Christmas as they only hit Topshop stores in the Spring but the wait will be well worth it. They are so good girl gone bad...the clog might be in this season but who cares when you can have a pair of heels this kick ass!

Helena, Claudia and Eva Bare all

Our favorite yummy mummy's have done us proud and proven that a baby belly doesn't have to mean hiding from yourself in the shower mirror and covering up with loose jumpers for life! Eva Herzigova,36, Claudia Schiffer, 39 and Helena Christensen, 40, have posed naked for i-D magazine in a shoot with KayT Jones and look more beautiful than ever! Well done girls!

Raunchy Rachel...

Love or hate her Rachel Bilson has style and it can't be denied! She hasn't done much recently but when we opened the November issue of Flaunt we almost toppled off our chairs, not because she looks different but because we are used to seeing her dress, well, so girl-next-door. The Flaunt stylist have done them selves proud.

TPLRG'S Charity case

Erdem and Mark Fast, Pixie Geldof, Jaquetta Wheeler & Jade Parfitt

Last Wednesday night our fave designer store 'Browns' teamed up with the High comissioner of Canada and his wife Donna Thompson to host a charity fashion show in aid of 'women for women'*. The event saw the likes of cool kids Jaquetta Wheeler, Stella Tennant, Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof and the supernaturally tall Jade Parfitt sporting and auctioning wares donated by top designers such as Giambatista Valli, Roland Mouret, Temperley, Erdem and Mark Fast. As the star studded guests mingled, munched delicious canapes and sipped on champagne at the Women for women residence in Grosvenor square, i bumbled away back stage, leavering shoes onto the girls and wedging Pixi into a House of Holland black lace number. Whilst i would LOVE to report on a true life little rich girl tantrum, everyone was surprisingly well behaved, looked great and really embraced the charitable theme of the night.

Style Factor

After weeks of dodgy outfits, including the haloween style suicide that was the David Koma dress, Cheryl Cole has done it again and caused huge fashion controversy. Last night England's sweetheat appeared on the X Factor wearing a pink tutu style dress custom made by our very own Giles Deacon. Whilst for the fashionistas out there, by simply wearing a piece by Giles, the king of geek chic, Cheryl has earned herself a gold star on the style list. For joe public however, she has created yet another fashion faux pas. According to some of the twitterati she looked like 'mini mouse' in 'the ugliest dress i've ever seen'.

For us at TPLRG, the 5 year old bow hair do was the tragedy of the night. We love GILES and think his hot pink number was PERFECT for the camped up George Michael night.

Bass Hunter

If the bad boy charcter of 'Chuck Bass' isnt enough to make you fall in love with Ed Westwick, this months shoot in Arena Homme magazine has got to seal the deal! Super cool styling and classic black and white photography bring the Bass to the TOP of our christmas wish list!
